ViewCommander Version 3

Note: The following applies to Windows XP and Server 2003. Version 3 is not supported on Vista, Win7, and 2008.

1) Turn off ViewCommander on the computer you want to move the files to.

2) Copy the contents of the 'config' folder on the original PC. The files to copy will be in one of the following folders:
"C:\Program Files\IVI\ViewCommander\config"

or "C:\Program Files (x86)\IVI\ViewCommander\config"

This folder contains all the camera data and settings.

3) There is also a registry key that you can export and move to the new computer. This has the system settings as well as the users.

Run ‘regedit’ (at your own risk), and right click on the “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IVI” key. Select export, and save it to a file with the .reg extension.  Then on the new computer, click on the file and it will load the IVI settings into the registry.

3) Start ViewCommander.
