ViewCommander Player (Version 5) If you have the ProPlus model or higher, then the ViewCommander-Player will be included when you install the software. If you have the ProPlus model or higher, you are also licensed to distribute the ViewCommander-Player program with your archived videos.
The ViewCommander-Player will playback .vca files, as well as ViewCommander video archive folders stored in their original format on disk. If you are licensed for the ProPlus model or higher, the ViewCommander-Player will be located in the ViewCommander installation folder:
Note: You do not need ViewCommander-Player to playback .avi and /asf files (Use Window's media player or another application for these filetypes)
c:\Program Files\IVI\ViewCommanderV5\ViewCommander-Player.exe or c:\Program Files (x86)\IVI\ViewCommanderV5\ViewCommander-Player.exe
The video archive files will be located in a folder called VCArchive. In the VCArchive folder will be folders with the camera name, e.g. "E:\VCArchive\1-1-CameraName". How to open a .VCA file: VCA Files can be created by ViewCommander-NVR when exporting archived video. The .vca file contains all the video and metadata (such as timestamp) saved with the video.
How to open ViewCommander archive files directly from disk: Depending on your settings, ViewCommander will create a 'VCArchive' folder in specified drives on your system. Inside the VCArchive folders will be folders with names containing your video source (camera) names, for example: "E:\VCArchive\1-1-CameraName"
